Anyway USCIS queue has to be cleared of us ( IV members and others) already in the queue, before illegal's applications can be processed by USCIS.
Probably they are trying to do that here.

I work for Fortune 100 company and we are celebrating Diwali on Friday. There are flyers on all the corners and are expecting more than 500 co-workers for pot-luck lunch. And the best part, organizer and main activists are non-Indian. So its just another festival in the mix that everybody is looking to enjoy. This is our first gathering followed by 4-5 more before end of the year.

Guys we are seeing some contributions like 20$, 30$ anything is better than nothing, but please understand the cause we are fighting for. It is very urgent for all of us(including yourself). One big missing piece in your analysis - Country quota.
As per your analysis, there are around 125K pending cases. If there is no spill over (that is the case this year and that will be the case for the coming years as per State dept.), then EB3-I or EB2-I gets only 2700 visas per year.
Now, please redo your math and you can easily see that the current retrogress might look like there is hardly any retrogression.

And assume 10K applications from ROW are add to the queue, what I am saying is all 110K will be cleared by end of the fiscal year.

We can also look at the possibility of mass drive towards bone marrow doner registration, Blood donation drive, Eye donation, etc.
Also possible is continue with Youtube videos. I think the reason for low response a) laziness b) doing alone may not be exciting and motivating enough.
Suggestion. We do the youtube videos in groups of three/four. It would be fun activity and will help to build bond amongst IV members.

Thanks Almond... your post summarizes exactly how ppl in my position feel. one of my frds did MBA from top 20 B-school but could not change to a new job in management career becoz his I-140 approved but did not file for I-485 yet and worse yet he crossed 6 year H1b. now he is also living on 3 year h-1b extensions with approved I-140. when he was venting his frustration like me, one a$$hole (GC holder) suggested he move back to his home country. funny thing was this a$$hole got her GC becoz she married some bakra who already applied for GC. within 6 months after she arrived in US, her huby got them GCs. This dumb wothless piece of $hit doesnt know how hard (impossible ?) to get GC in this lifetime becoz she got it in 6 months :mad: .
The price of GC is what you assign to it. The value of GC is not what other people tell you it is. If you get depressed, make your life hell - it's because you chose it. My PD is 2010 in EB2 and I came here in 2004. I know what I'm getting into and it's my decision so I won't fret about it or get depressed. Enjoy time with your Family, wife, kids - it's priceless.....a new sports car will also help. Life is a great gift and will have ups and downs....don't let GC define who you are. Kondur007 is right. If the dates move forward in leaps and bounds it is because not enough cases are being processed; if the dates stay the same or more forward at a slow rate, it means that USCIS has a demand for Visa Numbers and they are being requested in a consistent pattern, so DOS does not have to advance cut off dates so drastically.

In my opinion, the fear that folks that are contributing 50$ will switch to lower sums is unfounded. There is nothing that stops them from stopping their contributions altogether even now.
yes and people do stop...what do you think...the small minority just keeps contributing when they see others not lifting one finger?
and we are not speaking from "fear of what will happen" we are telling you from experience that people who can afford 50/mnth and are willing to do it are tempted to do 20 instead...and do it. why is that so hard to believe? is it not human? i think it is natural for many to think like that. we have 25,000 members, >90% don't do anything for iv. despite that you won't believe that people will contribute less if they can?
if members really want to contribute- use pay pal and give less. the option is there. why the argument over the set up that iv has made...when you have an alternative??? iv needs to send a signal on what we really need from you and we have done that. the rest is up to you...take a choice. just remember- pay pal takes a chunk every time you do small multiple amounts.

Why should only GC holders get this 'permission'? F1, J1, L1 and H1 people should also be able to get their parents. Also, add all their dependents, H4, L4(??) whatever. We can all live as a big family then. Or, just pack up and go back to India.
Its ridiculous to hear people saying that they like to live in the US because of human values here, but then talk about Indian values. Please make up your mind. It's not just my family, my siblings, my whatever..... Think outside 'your' little world.

Personally I think these processing dates are crap , It use to be valuble before July-07 but not any more.
I think if CIS use computers and run a small query they know how many cases are pending which fall under processing dates
The only advantage with the dates is opening SRs, which dont have any value and complete waste of time.
My EB3 140 was filed on July 5 th 2007 at NSC and transfered to TSC on April 07 08 , for TSC 140 processing dates are Aug 26 07 . I guess they have their own rules for transfer cases .

Appreciate if we could get more details about the planning for these three days.

I am watching visa bulletin for 1 years now and found that if it releases early around 8th to 10th of month then no good movement but if releases close to 15th .. like 13th or 14th then some very good movement.
This is one of those weird correlation no one thought of e.g. if economy goes south more men opt for vasectomy and more business for the docs!

Are there any transfered cases which got approved? I am yet to see one. My service center is TSC but my case starts with WAC as it was sent to Calif for data uploading ...my bad luck...I will be current next month but i doubt any transfered cases will get approved...
just fell thru the cracks....anyway good luck for those who are straight forward cases (if there are any)

it depends on the individual hospital... your downside is only your wife getting fired... which might not really happen unless your wife supplies 100 A grade nurses to the directly competing hospital across the street... if she does that, anyway she wont care for the job.... :-) all the best... let us know how it goes...
